Abraham Accords 2.0

In the spirit of everything old is new again, now that President Trump is back in office for a second time, all his various failed ideas from 2017-2020 he is revamping. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again. Just as in his first term, he was busy bombing Yemen, threatening China, bootlicking Israel, and putting maximum pressure on Iran, so now the second time around ditto.

And this also includes that bizarre initiative, Abraham Accords (AA1.0), which was fathered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but passed off as the legitimate offspring of Jared Kushner. Its sole purpose was to have the entire Muslim world kneel before Israel and acknowledge its grandeur. Of course, the usual suspects immediately assumed the requisite servile position (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain) and promptly signed AA1.0, in 2020, while two others were eventually bribed and bullied to also do so, one a nation that Trump and those before him had bombed into the category of “failed state” (Sudan), and the other looking for relevance on the world stage (Morocco).

This was hailed as a roaring success, and the glory of it all still stinks to high heavens, for despite all the self-praise, AA1.0 had no interest whatsoever in even thinking about the poor Palestinians. Just “bulldoze” something for them in the Negev desert was Kushner’s learned conclusion. The point of these “accords” was to make sure that Palestinians would never have a state of their own—it would be Israel always and forever. And the “accords” were meant to effectively legitimize Israeli actions in the occupied territories and destroy all efforts for a two-state solution.

Given that part of the “art of the deal” is to repeat your successes often, even if others do not, Trump 2.0 is touting Abraham Accords 2.0—and of course this will be bigger and better than before.

Therefore, the concept of Abraham Accords 2.0 has been gaining traction as a potential next step in expanding the original AA1.0. As noted, the idea behind Abraham Accords 2.0 is to make sure that all Muslim countries kowtow to Israel. This is all wrapped up in positive rhetoric.

Accordingly, Abraham Accords 2.0 will expand the “circle of peace” by including additional countries, particularly focusing on strategic security partnerships and defense cooperation. As we all know, “peace” always radiates out from Israel, just like Trump by just calling him the “peace president” imagines that he is living in a “golden age.”

The real purpose of AA2.0 is to build a coalition of Muslim countries against Iran, because according to Israel, Iran is the problem in the region, since we all know, it is always Iran that is carrying out genocide here and there and everywhere. It is always Iran going about killing children by the thousands. It is always that bombs neighboring countries. That it is always such a “threat” for America and Israel. And as has been made more than obvious, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, etc. will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel. No matter what, because they know that makes America very, very happy.

Of course, there will be lots of goodies to hand out. There will be a focus on advancing economic and technological cooperation (you know, Unit 8200 and Mossad). There will be joint projects in areas like energy, logistics, and innovation—all of it contributing to regional growth and stability, and all without Iran, which can never get enough of instability in the region. This is why America and Israel have to keep bombing everyone all the time.

But things get even more serious. The success of AA2.0 is heavily dependent on strong American “leadership.” The return of Donald Trump to office has an opportunity, of galactic proportions, to push these accords further, given his administration’s role in brokering AA1.0, whose brilliance the world has never stopped admiring. Since the Trump team consists of such brilliant diplomats and geopolitical scholars, like Pete Hegseth, JD and Marco Rubio, and not to mention Melania and Usha Vance, how can there not be lots of “winning?” AA2.0 will astonish the ages and will usher in a “golden age” for the Middle East as well. Just as soon as we start bombing Iran, which always stands in the way of a “golden age.”

A bit of reality check.

The genocide in Gaza conflict has significantly influenced public opinion on the first Abraham Accords in Arab countries, leading to increased opposition and skepticism towards normalization with Israel.

Nobody in the world like Israel, with the exception of the USA. No amount of bribery or bullying will help.

The genocide in Gaza has made normalization with Israel impossible in Arab and Muslim societies. Public opinion polls show that a majority of respondents in Muslim countries view normalization as unfavorable, with many calling for a halt to such processes.

The relentless genocide of the Palestinian people has heightened public awareness and sympathy for the Palestinian cause, making it nearly impossible for Arab governments to pursue normalization without addressing Palestinian grievances. There is no point in mentioning the lackeys who quickly signed on to AA1.0.

Arab public opinion has become increasingly critical of Arab governments’ stances on the Gaza genocide. For instance, a significant portion of respondents view the positions of countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia as “bad” or “very bad.” Most Muslims actually hate these oil sheikhs.

This criticism reflects a broader dissatisfaction with how Arab governments have done nothing to help the Palestinians, and have simply allowed the genocide to continue grimly on and on.

The Gaza gebocide conflict has underscored the unresolved Palestinian issue, which remains a central concern for Arab and Muslim publics. Support for a two-state solution remains robust across many Arab countries, highlighting the need for any peace initiative to address Palestinian rights effectively.

The genocide has also led to increased calls for Arab governments to take stronger stances in support of Palestinians, including canceling normalization processes with Israel.

The genocide has prompted some Arab countries to reconsider their alliances and strategies. While the Abraham Accords have survived for the lackeys, alternative alliances and regional dynamics are emerging as countries navigate the complex geopolitical landscape.

The ongoing genocide erases any efforts by the U.S. and other international actors to expand these accords, as they face resistance from both Arab governments and publics who are increasingly skeptical of normalization without meaningful progress on the Palestinian issue.

There is a real hatred of Israel the world over and especially in the Middle East. These oil sheikhs may well find that if they try to sell AA2.0 to their people, they may find themselves toppled.

And, like all pipedreams, Abraham Accords 2.0 seriously misunderstand Iran—just as Trump seriously misunderstands Yemen, which he was bombing endlessly all through his first term in office, and it got him nowhere.

Bombs can never destroy faith. This is a lesson that the Israel and the USA will eventually learn.

By clinging to failed policies and by resorting to bullying and bombs, Trump has very early proven that he is bankrupt when it comes to international relations, and all he will be good at is to kill a lot of people, just like he did the last time. That is how you make America great again.
