Death Penalty for Non-Criminals

The useless eaters bill: Micronia, in all its sliming gorey

“The first factor is obviously the victim’s consent… sorry, I meant the patient’s consent” (C. Vautrin, French Minister for Death & Disease).

Living in France under the succeeding reigns of PresidentsSarkozy, Holland and Micron is rather like inhabiting a Horror Film. Not a day goes by without some new, death-dealing law or deed. The latest, now being rammed through Parliament, is the AIDE A MOURIR Bill, otherwise known as the Useless Eaters (Nutzlose Fresser) Bill.

On February 18th, the French Minister for Death and Disease, C. Vautrin, slipped on her tongue during a live television talk-show, as she gleefully promoted the new Kill Bill. “The first (factor) is obviously the victim’s consent… sorry, I meant the patient’s consent.” Before going on to praise Micron, “who is personally very much committed” to the new law.

Quite. (BTW, have at these clips of Micron never published in France, at 35 mins.29 secs., in the er, embedded Bessagon film. And then to wonder why, or how, Micron and Starmer get on like a House on Fire.

Anyway, back to our onions as the French say.

In 2017, under Micron’s kingmaker François Hollande, Marisol Touraine Reveyrand-de-Menthon, a high-livin’ high-falutin aristo-Cat known essentially for her malevolence against Vincent Lambert for her interesting son Gabriel, introduced the first of the AIDE ACTIVE A MOURIR i.e. Useless Eater Bills. After encountering some (feeble) opposition, it was re-introduced in 2021.

In 2024, Micron, tricked out as a conservative in a bespoke suit with waistcoat, personally appeared in the “Catholic: press, to promote an updated version.

As legislative elections were suddenly held in June 2024, the Bill dropped out of sight again – temporarily, only to pop up again under the title Loi Falorni in the Spring of 2025.

And so at the time of writing, we find the French parliament, oblivious to the worst economic crisis the country has known since the 18th Century, entirely focused on the « vaguest and most lax euthanasia law in the world »/, baldly entitled AIDE A MOURIR. In plain English, Push’em off the Edge.

Waved through on 2nd May in Commission, it will go to the vote on 27th May, and given the sort of poseurs on the “left” and “right” squirming through Parliament at the moment, one can expect it will be voted up.

That being so, Mendelssohn can hardly do better than point to a crystal-clear editorial denouncing the Bill which appeared last week on the France Soir website, “Euthanasie sans limites : une loi controversée qui soulève des questions éthiques et sociétales,” penned by chief editor Xavier Azalbert.

Azalbert notes that under the 2016 Leonetti Act, which merely clarified the legal framework for withdrawing life-support in extreme cases, “active euthanasia, i.e. deliberately administering a lethal substance was assimilated to wilful murder under the Criminal Code.”

But then the Covidementia furies were let loose, covering all manner of deliberate evil. In addition to the damned Quacksines, and further to official Decrees, an anti-epileptic known in France as Rivotril (Midozalam in the UK), was massively administered in old peoples’ homes and hospitals under extremely bizarre circumstances, leading to what some believe may have been 30,000 (thirty thousand) deaths.

With people popping their clogs under not-so-mysterious circumstances right left and centre, and the perpetrators prancing about immune from prosecution, the population has been deemed sufficiently suicidal for the next step.

Now, a young French satirist called Rémi has put out a video, where just for once, he makes no attempt to be funny, and which Azalbert has summarised thusly:

  • no limits set to the wielding of euthanasia. The Bill uses the term “help with dying” rather than euthanasia. Olivier Falorni, MP, head of the group “studying” the Bill but in fact, its most active Parliamentary promoter, has openly stated that one does well to avoid the terms “euthanasia” and “assisted suicide” owing to the “gravity of the historical antecedents.” Alter the word but not the deed, and bunny’s in the oven, eh?
  • the Bill had originally referred to “short or medium term prognosis of death,” now replaced by the term “advanced or terminal stage,” which has been denounced by dozens of experts as flat-out meaningless

In Parliament, day by day, it gets worser and worser, so to speak. The latest state of play for one to be “eligible” for the Short Sharp Chop, is to suffer from a “grave and incurable affection which may lead to death.”

What none of these notoriously well-fed, well-housed, well-dressed and well-paid MPs has bothered to remark, is that there is NO SUCH THING as an incurable disease. A century ago, every known disease was incurable – cancer, tuberculosis, septicemia, leprosy – you name it. As Pasteur said: “all progress in medecine rests upon the desperate struggle of doctors to cure desperate cases.”

There have been a number of cunningly-worded campaigns to extend this new and original form of the death penalty, to under-age children. For the time being, these amendments have been rejected.

A specially wonderful innovation: the autistic, the severely melancholic or depressed too will be eligible for the new death penalty, if they be “suffering physical or mental distress which resists treatment or which the individual considers to be unbearable.”

Well, we are many who consider Micronia to be a cause of severe mental distress, but few, who would be wont to pleasure Micronia with our suicide.

Since Azalbert and Juste Milieu first published, on this past Saturday 24th May Parliament approved a new criminal offence created by the Bill. Known in French as délit d’entrave, it’s very like that voted up to punish those evil-doers who would attempt to prevent an abortion. Henceforth, anyone who “prevents or attempts to prevent” someone from “exercising his right to (euthanasia) or gathering information on (euthanasia)” can be prosecuted. Anyone who “disrupts access” to places where this new and original death penalty will be practised, anyone who “places moral or psychological pressure” by “threatening” or “intimidating” patients or medics, is punishable by two years’ gaol and 30,000 euro fines – the sanctions have just been doubled.

As an aside, in France, official statistics give abortions at circa 250,000 for 2023, working out at about 30% of all pregnancies being aborted. Put otherwise, every eight years, the equivalent of the population of Paris ends up as “hospital waste” (or flogged off to manufacturers of various strange cosmetic, “medicinal” and other products?). Not to speak of the “Morning After” Pill, distributed like sweets without a prescription to secondary school children – who by the way, having once turned 15, no longer need ask their parents’ consent to abort. Although so far, doctors and nurses have the legal right to refuse to practice abortion, an intense campaign is underway for fresh legislation to withdraw the “clause de conscience.” Should that campaign succeed, it will doubtless be extended to those who refuse to perform the new and original form of the death penalty for non-criminals.

Two final points raised by Rémi in his video, and which Azalbert has underlined. First, an odd Freemasonic twist: Olivier Falorni MP, rapporteur général for the Bill, is an honorary member of the Association pour le Droit de Mourir dans la Dignité (ADMD) (the Right to Die with Dignity Society), founded in 1980 by Pierre Simon, formerly Grand Master of the Grande Loge de France, and a great promoter of “family planning,” i.e. birth pills, etc.

Equally – Mendelssohn would say more important – is the economic claptrap, whilst tens of billions in taxpayer funds stream into the ex-Ukraine – the ubiquitous argument that “the Useless Eaters bill will save 1.4 billion euro a year.” This is covered at length in a remarkable study just published by Fondapol which refers to the complete collapse of the French health system over the past 20 years, and the way Useless Eaters Bills have been used, notably in Canada, to “rid us of the troublesome poor.”

The various Churches of France (Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish) are of scant use in this battle. Although on May 14th, they did in fact jointly release an open letter denouncing the Useless Eaters Bill, it is too little, and much too late. Where in particular, was the Catholic Church as an institution, when Vincent Lambert was m…. d in his hospital bed? Not to speak of my co-religionary Haim Korsia who said of Vincent Lambert “there is a time to live and a time to die.” What about Palestine, duckie?

Enough of this crowd of bottom-feeders! Those who believe in Life were well-advised to stand up on their hind legs, sooner rather than later.

Update: On Tuesday May 27th, the French Parliament by 305 votes to 199, approved the Useless Eaters Bill. Those who speak French may wish to listen to this excellent broadcast by François Asselineau, former Inspector of Finance, who opposes the Bill in the strongest terms. Asselineau notably points to the role played by Falorni MP, a prominent member of the Grand Orient de France, one of the two main Masonic lodges, who the moment the new legislature took their seats after the 2024 elections, rushed to place “his” Bill first on the parliamentary agenda.
